Dear Colleagues,
Spring break for most Main Campus programs takes place after the conclusion of classes today through Sunday, March 12, 2023. Please note the following information about operations on the Main and Medical Center campuses during the break.
Campus Operations
- Libraries: View the schedule of spring break library hours and operations. The Dahlgren Memorial Library will be operating on normal hours.
- Campus Dining: Most on-campus dining locations have adjusted spring break hours and operations.
- Mail & Packages: The Leavey Mail Room located in the North Gallery of the Leavey Center next to Royal Jacket will be open for service 9 a.m. – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
- Amazon Hub Locker+: The Amazon pickup location in the Leavey Center East Hallway is open 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday -Friday; 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday.
- Bookstore: The campus bookstore will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday (closed Wednesday, Mar. 8 for inventory) and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.
- UIS Help Desk:The UIS Help Desk will be operating on normal hours. Please submit all request to help@georgetwon.edu.
- Facilities Requests: The Work Management Center will be operating on normal hours. As always, you can submit work requests via Maintenance Connect or by calling the Work Management Center at 202-687-3432.
Southwest Quad Garage Impacts
Several campus improvement projects are scheduled over the spring break period when the on-campus population is reduced. Due to garage painting, please expect there to be reduced parking capacity in the Southwest Quad Garage according to the below timeline. If parking reaches full capacity, please proceed to the Leavey Center garage.
- Mar. 4 – 5: No open parking on the P3 level (reserved spaces will NOT be impacted); electric vehicle charging will not be available.
- Mar. 7 – 9: No parking on the P2 level
- Mar. 10 – 12: No parking on the P1 level
