*Japan Chair Event* Japan and the World – Japan and Northeast Asia: China, the Korean Peninsula, and the Taiwan Strait
Led by Visiting Japan Chair Dr. Adam Liff, the Georgetown SFS “Japan and the World” public event series brings together leading scholars and current and former policymakers for frank discussions about major issues in Japan’s contemporary foreign relations.
Our next event will feature an off-record panel discussion about current foreign policy challenges and opportunities in Northeast Asia, with a particular focus on recent developments in Japan’s relations with China, North and South Korea, and Taiwan.
The panel will feature Victor Cha, Distinguished University Professor and Professor of Government at Georgetown University, Shihoko Goto, Director for Geoeconomics and Indo-Pacific Enterprise at the Wilson Center, and Sheila Smith, John E. Merow senior fellow for Asia-Pacific studies at the Council on Foreign Relations. Dr. Liff will host and moderate the discussion.
