2024 Whittington Lecture with Dr. Anthony Fauci
Dr. Fauci, a physician, leading immunologist and infectious disease researcher and advisor to seven U.S. presidents, most recently served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. In July 2023, Dr. Fauci joined Georgetown University as a distinguished university professor in the School of Medicine and the McCourt School of Public Policy.
At the 2024 Whittington Lecture, Dr. Fauci will reflect on important public health, scientific and policy lessons we have learned (or should have learned) during the COVID-19 pandemic. These lessons will help us prepare for, and respond to, the inevitable future emergences of pathogens with pandemic potential.
Seating will be first come, first served, and a valid GU ID will be required. All attendees will be subject to a bag check by GUPD before entering Gaston Hall.
