About the book
Collisions: The War in Ukraine and the Origins of the New Global Instability is a book that explores the origins of Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. It addresses key questions in U.S. policy (vis a vis the war) and assesses the many global consequences this, as of yet, unfinished war has had. It will provide a step back from the headlines and a big-picture sense of why this conflict has arisen, and what it might mean.
About the Speaker
Michael Kimmage is a professor of history at the Catholic University of America and an adjunct professor for spring 2024 in Georgetown’s SSP program. His most recent book is Collisions: The War in Ukraine and the Origins of the New Global Instability.
