We are pleased to inform you about an important update regarding student job applications. Beginning August 12, 2024, all student job applications will be processed through GMS, and the existing HoyaWorks portal will only be used for off campus, non-Georgetown jobs. This new system will make it easier and more efficient for you to find and apply for on-campus positions.
You will be able to log into GMS to search and apply for student job openings directly, streamlining your application experience.
To assist you with this transition, we have set up a page on the HR website with detailed information and resources to guide you through the new process. Additionally, the Student Employment Office’s website will be updated with the latest information.
Action Items
- Existing Georgetown student positions on the Student Employment hiring portal, HoyaWorks, will be closed after August 9. Departments will be advised to repost their positions on GMS. Non-Georgetown University (off campus) positions will continue to be posted on HoyaWorks.
- If you currently have any open on-campus applications in HoyaWorks, you will need to check the job postings in GMS beginning on August 12, and reapply for any positions that were migrated from HoyaWorks to GMS.
Resources
Training materials on how to search for and apply to jobs will be available on the Human Resources website to help you navigate the new system efficiently.
