About This Seminar:
The gut microbiota is known to play a significant role in the host’s normal homeostasis. It is well accepted that gut microbiota cause carcinogenesis via modulation of numerous cellular pathways of the host. It is important to notice that the relationship between microorganisms and cancer is complex, and there is also and complicated network of factors causing tumor immunotherapy effect by microorganisms. With my research team we studied the role of the microbiome in carcinogenesis, and in this lecture, based on our own results we will analyze the possible mechanism of their interaction and outlined the potential application of microbiota in tumor therapy.
