NEW DATE – Ambassador Kevin Rudd Presents, “On Xi Jinping: How Xi’s Marxist Nationalism is Shaping China and the World”
This event has been rescheduled for
December 3 from 10:00 to 11:30 am.
RSVP
Kevin Rudd’s On Xi Jinping, undoubtedly the most important book on China published in 2024, dissects Xi’s Marxist-Leninist worldview. Rudd’s logic is clear: “Xi’s ideological blueprint for the future is out there on the Chinese public record for all to see — assuming, of course, we have eyes to see it, read it, and understand it within its own terms.” For students and scholars alike, indeed for the public at large, Rudd’s forensic introduction of Xi’s ideology is vital. Rudd argues that understanding Xi’s ideological battles is an essential input into deciphering the complex world of politics and policy in Beijing.
