Dear Project Management Class of 2020,

First, allow me to take this opportunity to congratulate all of you on your well-deserved success and wishing you the best of lucks on what is next. I know that circumstances changed a little bit from what we expected for this day and that many of us dreamt about walking today at Healy Lawn while being surrounded by our loved ones. Plans have changed, but one thing we learned from this program is to embrace change. Many argue that Project Managers are change agents able to orchestrate change and take it as an opportunity for improvement. I like to see this situation as the chance of having two commencement ceremonies: an online and a formal recognition once we can meet in person again.

Now, we begin the conclusion phase of this program and we are ready to start reflecting on everything we learned and the people we met during the last couple of years. I am confident that the strong network we built at Georgetown SCS will accompany us on our next adventures and professional challenges. If I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me, I will always be there for you.

I would like to finish by encouraging you to start planning your next steps and how you are going to capitalize on your experience at Georgetown. Another thing we learned from our program is that planning is key for project success, and one of the most important projects you will ever manage is yourself. Dream big and never give up!

Best,

Dani C.
