Katya, you have continued to amaze us with your writing and language skills and with your adventurous spirit! You have taken full advantage of your Georgetown University classes in government, creative writing and Arabic, and of your opportunities to travel abroad. We are so proud of you for winning the prestigious award of IES Abroad Correspondent of the Year for your blog about life in Rabat, Morocco, during spring semester 2019.
The world needs well-informed and passionate journalists more than ever and you have also performed that role as a reporter for your school newspaper and for on-line newspapers in Morocco and Washington D.C. In our eyes, you are a kind, caring, talented and resilient young woman and we look forward to an interesting and bright future for you.
