As of Monday, September 28, at 8 a.m., 9 total positive COVID-19 cases on or near campus were reported to Georgetown University from Monday, September 21, through Saturday, September 26.
Georgetown is now reporting key metrics related to our testing protocol, including positive COVID-19 cases on or near campus, on the University’s new COVID-19 Dashboard. The Dashboard also shares information about contact tracing, isolation, privacy and COVID-19 symptoms. We are using these metrics, along with data and guidance from local and federal authorities, to monitor public health conditions on and near campus.
Georgetown has implemented a comprehensive testing plan for members of our community approved to live, work or study on campus and students living in the Georgetown, Burleith and Foxhall neighborhoods. The COVID-19 testing protocol is one of the most rigorous among universities across the country, based on guidance from Georgetown’s public health experts, University leaders, District of Columbia and federal public health agencies and promising practices observed across other institutions.
