In addition to New Student Orientation (NSO) and convocation for the undergraduate population, incoming graduate, law and medical students also participatein orientation activities and ceremonies marking their first years on campus.
Georgetown institutes innovative ways to welcome new and returning students to campus each year includingthe traditional White Coat ceremony marking students’ first year in the School of Medicine, having first-year law students learn about the Washington, D.C., community through service or the Mass of the Holy Spirit the day before classes begin for the university community.
