Melanin in Medicine Week 2: Physicians in Policy
Georgetown University School of Medicine Student National Medical Association (SNMA) Presents Melanin in Medicine: Liberation Through Black Identity
In celebration of Black History Month, we aim to honor and bring in-depth conversation around key issues faced by current and aspiring Black clinicians and collaborate collectively on brainstorming solutions and compiling resources to navigate medicine both academically and clinically, as both a physician and a patient. This year’s series of events consists of presentations, Q&A panels, documentary viewing, and breakout room discussions around topics impacting Black clinicians. View more information about these events.
Week 2: Learn about how to engage with policy in your career from Black physicians currently doing it now.
Georgetown University, Howard University, George Washington University, and other DMV graduate students, nursing students, medical students, undergraduate students, residents, attending physicians, faculty, and staff are invited to join us.
