Title: How Hoyas Stay Warm During the Winter Chill

1. Cozy up to a fireplace!

The giant hearth in the Healey Family Student Center is a great place for studying, casual reading or hanging out with friends.

For those of you who want the best of both of both worlds: the fireplaces out on the HFSC patio are great places to enjoy the outdoors without getting chilled to the bone!

2. Head to Uncommon Grounds and treat yourself to your favorite drink:

On those cold, winter days, you definitely deserve that Pygmalion! If you’re feeling a little adventurous, there are plenty of off-campus options for coffee and tea as well: Saxbys, Dolcezza, Dean & Deluca, the list goes on!

3. Grab a couple of your friends and get your game on:

Disclaimer: this game will be one of the most fun, most competitive board games that you will ever encounter. 10/10 would recommend.

4. Eat and drink well:

While it may not seem like it, maintaining a healthy diet provides you with the energy to keep warm and keeps you from getting sick. Make sure you cook meals (or choose foods from Leo’s) that are balanced, it’ll keep your body and immune system strong.

5. Stay in bed:

Personally, I love to get some freshly brewed coffee or tea and cozy up with my pillows and blankets at home to keep warm during these winter months. Sometimes you just need one of those “stay in bed all day” kind of days, y’know?

6. Get out there and enjoy the winter with your friends!

Yes, it’s cold outside, and yes, it might even be snowing. But sometimes, the best warmth is the warmth you get from spending time and having fun with your favorite people on the Hilltop!
