Dear New South and Village A Residents,
As mentioned in our message yesterday, PEPCO is conducting emergency repair work on several electric lines located under Prospect Street near New South.
To complete this work, PEPCO needs to excavate parts of the road tonight. As a result, noise along Prospect Street has significantly increased. This work is expected to be completed by 3 a.m. Wednesday morning (this evening).
We recognize the impacts of this noise near our residential communities and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Because this project involves emergency public utilities work, PEPCO needs to continue working tonight. We are in touch with PEPCO for regular updates and have communicated the impacts of this work on our community.
Please avoid using Prospect Street and the Healey Family Student Center outdoor patio during this work.
