2024 Nuclear Security Summit at Georgetown
Nuclear issues are increasingly important, especially this year. While nuclear threats have become increasingly real, commercial space travel has become close to reality, and life in space may also become a reality. For these reasons, this year, the summit will focus on space radiation and the mitigation of radiation exposure.
This year’s Nuclear Security Summit at Georgetown also honors Professor William Daddio’s contribution. He taught two necessary courses, Biohazardous Threat Agents and Emerging Infectious Diseases, including “Nuclear Weapons.” He passed away this past summer. Students, faculties and alumni of this program are saddened by this loss.
