About Ambassador Yui:
Alexander Yui has served as the Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States since December 2023. He holds an impressive academic background, with an MA in Spanish Literature and a BA in Political Science and Modern Languages from Texas A&M University, along with executive education from The Wharton School and the London School of Economics, and a Senior Executive Fellows program at Harvard’s Kennedy School. His extensive diplomatic career includes roles such as Representative at the Taipei Representative Office in the European Union, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Director-General of the Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs. Notably, Yui was also the Ambassador to Paraguay and has held various significant positions within Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, showcasing his expertise in international relations and commitment to fostering Taiwan’s global presence.
