A Reading and Conversation with Author Jinwoo Chong (COL ’17)

Author Jinwoo Chong (COL ’17) returns to Georgetown University for an online reading and Q&A session regarding the process of writing his first novel, Flux. With a focus on craft, this event is designed with Creative Writing Minors in mind, but all are welcome and encouraged to join us! Prof. Christine So will introduce.

 

About the Author:

Jinwoo Chong is the author of the novel Flux, a New York Times Editor’s Choice published in the US and UK by Melville House and named a best book of 2023 by Esquire, Apple Books, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Goodreads, Powell’s, and Debutiful. His second novel, I Leave It Up To You, is forthcoming spring 2025 from Ballantine.

His short stories and other work have appeared or are forthcoming in The Southern Review, Guernica, The Rumpus, LitHub, Chicago Quarterly Review, and Electric Literature. He received the Oran Robert Perry Burke Award for Fiction from The Southern Review and a special mention in the 2022 Pushcart Prize anthology.

He lives in New York.
