Orientation Hoya Harvest Garden Party

Join Us for a Garden Party at the Hoya Harvest Garden!
Are you passionate about sustainability and creating a positive impact on the environment? Join the Earth Commons on August 24th from 4-6 pm for our Garden Party, part of the New Student Orientation (NSO) events. This event will feature a yoga class, planting and harvesting activities, a tour of our Hoya Harvest Garden, and delicious food. Connect with fellow volunteers and new students, learn about sustainable gardening, and enjoy the outdoors while making a real difference.
Activities:
Yoga Class: the yoga class will start at 4:15pm, accommodating up to 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. No equipment required. Wear comfortable clothes suitable for movement.
Garden Activities: Prepare garden beds, plant new seeds, and harvest produce. Gain hands-on experience in sustainable gardening.
Garden Tour: Explore the Hoya Harvest Garden and learn about our efforts to create a sustainable and productive campus garden.
Arts and crafts: Express your creativity and paint your own mini pot or canvas to take back to your new dorm room.
Free and open to all new students! Come ready to move, get your hands dirty, and make a positive impact. Whether you choose to join the yoga class or just enjoy the other activities, there’s something for everyone. See you there!
