President Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential contest and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the first woman of color to earn a major party nomination for president. The shift at the top of the ticket has showcased the importance of understanding how gender has/will influence the 2024 election. This panel highlights the role of gender and power in American politics with leading politicos and experts. Panelists include former Mayor of Minneapolis, Betsy Hodges; Senior Public Engagement Advisor to VP Harris; and Director of Women’s and Gender Studies, and Government Professor, Dr. Nadia Brown.
