Juneteenth Visit: Facing Georgetown’s History through Art
In observance of Juneteenth, join The Center for the Study of Slavery and Its Legacies, Georgetown University Library and the Georgetown Women’s Alliance for a community gathering to learn about the exhibit “Facing Georgetown’s History through Art.” This event will explore the artwork that emphasizes the enduring legacies of slavery for Georgetown, the descendants of the GU272, and the artists themselves.
Refreshments will be served.
Accommodation requests related to a disability, including accessible transportation, should be made by June 14, 2024 to Megan May at mm4695@georgetown.edu. A good faith effort will be made to fulfill requests made after June 14, 2024.
