Join Georgetown University faculty and guests from Georgetown University ‘s ensemble-in-residence, PostClassical Ensemble (PCE), for a free conversation offering a preview and background to PCE’s upcoming November 19 and 20 performances at the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater, Legends of Brazil.
Director of the Georgetown University Orchestra and PCE Founder and Music Director, Angel Gil-Ordóñez, will be joined in conversation by:
- Professor Bryan McCann, Georgetown University Department of History, who is teaching a course on the social and cultural history of Rio de Janeiro in Fall 2024
- Flávio Chamis, composer, educator, and conductor who is serving as PCE’s guest curator forLegends of Brazil
