Our distinguished panelists will delve into a rich tapestry of topics that underscore the strategic role of sports marketing in today’s business landscape. Meet the Guest Speakers:
David Fucillo, Senior Director, NFL, NBA, and Sports Betting, Vox Media
David Fucillo is senior director of NFL, NBA, and Sports Betting at Vox Media. He has worked for the company full-time for 12 years and the six years prior to that as a contractor. He got his start when Vox Media was a handful of sports blogs, launching the network’s San Francisco 49ers site. His focus for the past five years has been sports betting, but he also has extensive experience building NFL and NBA editorial strategies.
He started his sports career working in sales and the ticket office for a minor league baseball team in Maryland before joining the Oakland A’s for five years in sales and then accounting. Fucillo has an M.A. in Sport Management and a J.D. from the University of San Francisco.
Jack Gierhart (MBA’93), President and CEO, U.S. Biathlon
Jack Gierhart has been part of the Olympic movement for over 20 years. He has held the role of CEO with three separate National Governing Bodies including US Sailing, USA Fencing and U.S. Biathlon. During his tenure at each, he led these organizations through cultural, organizational, governance, and strategic transformation. Gierhart also has focused on membership growth, expanding revenue through fundraising and sponsorship, building education platforms, establishing youth development pipelines, and establishing high performance cultures.
Gierhart enjoys the outdoors and spending time alpine and backcountry skiing, hiking, sailing, and cycling. He lives in Marion, Massachusetts, with his wife, one of their two daughters and son. Gierhart graduated from Tulane University with a B.A. in Economics and from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business with an MBA.

Kelly Lee, Assistant Teaching Professor of Marketing and Managing Director of the Georgetown Institute for Consumer Research
Kelly Lee is an assistant teaching professor of marketing at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. She educates the next generation of business leaders in the undergraduate and MBA programs about strategic marketing research, marketing intelligence, consumer behavior, and negotiations. Through Lee’s role as managing director of the Georgetown Institute for Consumer Research, she organizes events that unite faculty, alumni, industry practitioners, and students to deepen their understanding of consumer behavior and identify pivotal consumer insights.
