The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) is free and available to help. Appointments can be scheduled by emailing fsap@georgetown.edu. Journey’s employee assistance program provides customized well-being resources through its digital platform as well as concierge-level support for individuals seeking therapy or coaching. Journey provides free mental health therapy and support for all benefits-eligible employees and their families in the Washington, DC, metro area, across the United States and internationally.
Meditation and Rest
Meditation can enhance physical and emotional well-being.
The John Main Center teaches meditation from the Christian tradition in an inclusive way that welcomes everyone.
The University is also providing faculty and staff with a free subscription to Calm through March 2022. Calm is a mobile app designed to support resilience and mental fitness. Whether you have 30 seconds or 30 minutes, Calm content is made to suit your schedule and needs. Here are detailed instructions for accessing your free subscription and getting started.
Spiritual Resources
In keeping with Georgetown’s distinct Jesuit Heritage, Ignatian Programs offer opportunities for spiritual and personal growth in both on-campus programs and off-campus retreats through engagement with the spirituality of St. Ignatius.
Physical Fitness
Physical fitness and well-being are linked! Make time for yourself by taking a walk outside or riding a bike. You can even visit Yates Gym virtually with some pre-recorded fitness classes like yoga, HIIT, strength and conditioning or barre — no experience or equipment needed.
Mind, Body, Soul
GUWellness: Mind, Body, Soul offers a broad array of well-being programs, experiences, resources and opportunities to support faculty and staff on their well-being journey.
