Here at Georgetown, I’m always looking for convent, quick, and inexpensive options to dine off campus. Whether it be a weekend meal with friends, or a quick bite while running errands, Georgetown has so much to offer. Here is a list of my top five places for quick eats off campus!
Falafel Inc.
Everyone knows about Falafel Inc. Cheap food for a great cause. Located right on the way to M Street, this is definitely a hot spot for Georgetown students. $3 sandwiches and $4 bowls are any college students’ dream. Plus, it’s delicious. Double plus, they partner with the World Food Program and donate portions of their profits to help feed refugees. A perfect opportunity to eat good and feel good.
Besides their fresh ingredients, delicious combinations, and superb customer service, I love Sweetgreen because it was founded by Georgetown alumni! Sweetgreen salads are always a quick and refreshing meal.
South Block
South Block is not only a great place for a treat, but an awesome atmosphere to study as well! It serves smoothies and acai bowls—without a doubt the best acai bowls I’ve ever had. South Block also shares a space with Grace Street Coffee and Sun de Vich (sandwich shop) which presents loads of options! You’re bound to see Hoyas studying on the wood tables here on any given day!
Good Stuff Eatery
Good Stuff Eatery serves up delicious burgers, fries, and shakes—and it’s definitely worth the hype. It’s always lively here and a quick meal on any given day. My personal favorite has to be the Spike’s Sunnyside burger, also try out the coffee shake!
Curry & Pie
Have you ever tried Indian-inspired pizza? Curry & Pie is definitely a unique dining experience located right off campus. They have Indian curries, but also curry-flavored pizzas! Try the Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, or Lamb Vindaloo on a pizza in addition to the traditional naan and rice! Definitely affordable and fun to go with friends.
