The holiday season at Georgetown commenced on Friday, Dec. 3 with the lighting of the Christmas tree in Dahlgren Quadrangle. The night included performances by the Georgetown University Choir and The Georgetown Chimes, as well as a visit from Santa.
Before the tree lighting, faculty and staff brought their children to a holiday party hosted by President John J. DeGioia and his family. The young attendees were invited to get their photo taken with Santa, and there were tables of hot drinks, candy and sweets for both little ones and adults.
