Title: Campus Services Information: Shipping & Package Delivery, Dining and Technology

Dear Georgetown University Residential Students,

As we look forward to the start of the new academic year next month, we would like to provide information and updates about the variety of services available to you as a residential student.

Mail Services

Packages delivered to your on-campus student address will be delivered directly to campus and processed by the University’s Mail Services department. Large package volume throughout August move-in, and September, may cause longer processing times. Student packages are made available for pickup at the various blue locker locations around campus, the Leavey Center Mail Room, and the Leavey Center Ballroom overflow areas.

Student letter mail and packages should be addressed as follows. Please note that letters and packages not addressed in this format may experience a delay.

Residential Halls and Apartments Address Format:

{Student Full Name}, Student
{Building and Room Number}
Georgetown University
3700 O St NW
Washington, DC 20057

Additional information is available on the Mail Services web page.

Storage Scholars

To help expedite your move-in experience, Storage Scholars is now taking orders for their “Ship to School” service. With this service you can pay to ship your belongings from home, or wherever you may be residing this summer, directly to Storage Scholars. Once you arrive on campus, your items will be waiting for you in your campus residence. You can shop online from various retailers and have those packages shipped directly as well. Storage Scholars provides boxes, tape and shipping labels. To learn more, please visit the Storage Scholars website.

Amazon Services

For your convenience, Georgetown offers Amazon package delivery at the Amazon Hub Locker+ location in the Leavey Center on the Hilltop campus as well as two Amazon locker banks. To avoid delays, review the Amazon Services web page to learn how to add Amazon designated delivery locations to your Amazon account address book.

The Corp

The Corp operates coffee shops and convenience stores on campus and is also the preferred storage partner to store items between the end of the spring semester and fall move-in. Stored items are available for pickup at convenient locations during move-in days. If you stored items with The Corp last spring, look out for a communication from them directly with details on timing and your pick-up location.

Tide Laundry Services

Tide Cleaners is an optional alternative or supplement to the self-service laundry facilities available in residence halls. To learn more and sign up, please visit the Tide Cleaners website.

PNC Banking Services

PNC Student Banking can help you manage your money — in college and beyond — with products and services that allow you to bank the way that works best for you. Take advantage of special offerings for Georgetown, including Virtual Wallet Student® which provides a digital banking experience to keep your money organized while in school. Learn more at pnc.com/georgetown (domestic students) or at pnc.com/internationalstudents (international students).

Dining Services

Georgetown University offers a variety of dining locations, ranging from the primary residential student dining hall at Leo O’Donovan Hall to many national retail brands. To ensure you stay up to date with meal plan information, events, and operating hours, please visit Hoyaeats.com.

Technology Reminders

To ensure a smooth move-in process, first-year students should take a few minutes to complete the following steps before arriving on campus:

  • Enroll in DUO. DUO is the university’s two-factor authentication system. Anytime you sign in to a university system using your Georgetown NetID and password, Duo will ask you to approve access using your mobile device or a landline phone. Please visit the Georgetown Duo webpage for step-by-step instructions on how to enroll.
  • Reset your password.  It is critical that you reset your NetID password if you have not done so already. Once you enroll in the Password Station and start to select a new password, you will have 24 hours to complete this action. If you do not reset your password within this timeframe, you will need to contact help@georgetown.edu and set up an appointment to confirm your identity before you will be able to change your password.
  • Submit your GOCard photo.  You will need to upload a valid photo for your GOCard prior to your arrival on campus. Please review the GOCard photo submission requirements before you obtain your new GOCard.
  • Please contact help@georgetown.edu if you need assistance with any technology issues.

We look forward to welcoming you to campus in August. Please visit the Auxiliary Business Services website to learn more about other services we provide. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at auxiliary@georgetown.edu.

Sincerely,

Auxiliary Business Services and Real Estate
