The president of Buzzfeed and FiveThirtyEight’s Nate Silver are among those scheduled to speak at the university’s 2017 Commencement May 18-21.
Georgetown holds individual graduation ceremonies for each undergraduate and professional school as well as award celebrations on campus, beginning with Senior Convocation and the McCourt School of Public Policy commencement ceremony on May 18 and ending with Georgetown Law’s ceremony on May 21.
“Commencement is one of the most special moments for our university community each year,” said Georgetown President John J. DeGioia. “We are honored to welcome a number of distinguished individuals to our campus this May and we look forward to the ways in which their insights will challenge and inspire each of our graduates as they prepare to leave our Hilltop and make an impact on our world.”
Students, family, faculty, alumni and friends can follow commencement activities online, including live webcasts. Visit 2017 Commencement for information about how to share memories, pictures and words of wisdom with the Class of 2017.
