Title: Early Access to Residence Halls on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 12 p.m.

Dear Residential Students,

We are writing to inform you that due to inclement winter weather expected on Monday, early access to all Georgetown residential facilities (including 55H) will begin on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 12 p.m.

While residential facilities will open on Sunday, full staffing and dining will not be available. Residents are encouraged to utilize early move-in only if strictly necessary. Moving in on Sunday should only be used in cases where students anticipate that they will not be able to return to campus for classes by Wednesday. If you plan to return to campus on Sunday, please prepare for limited services and dining options. University policies and processes will be in effect, including the code of conduct.

Self check-in:

  • 55H residents: 24 Hours prior to arriving at 55H St., sign into Hoya Housing and “check in” to your room. After “checking in” via the portal, your Mobile Access App will be ready to grant you access to the residential building and unlock your residence room door. Please note: activation may take up to a few minutes. Your phone must have an active internet connection to sync after “check in.”
  • Hilltop residents should click the self-check button on Hoya Housing at least 30 minutes before arriving on campus.

Classes begin on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Students who feel weather delays will adversely impact their return to campus and attend class should contact their advising dean.

Move-in instructions will remain the same, and can be found on Residential Living’s website. Please note there will be limited staff in the buildings on Sunday due to the RA move-in schedule.
