First Lady of Afghanistan Shares Realities of Her Country

First Lady of Afghanistan Rula Ghani visits Georgetown for a discussion about the realities and perceptions of Afghanistan today.

The wife of President Ashraf Ghaniis an honorary USAWC co-chair along with former U.S. first ladies Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton.

Ghani and Magrab and members of the university community explored the realities and perceptions of the country in the present day.

The discussion was sponsored by USAWC and the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security.

The First Lady of Afghanistan also met with council members and partners to discuss continued work on issues of peace andsecurityas well as support for Afghan women and their families.
