Georgetown’s School of Continuing Studies will begin offering an online version of its master of professional studies in technology management for individuals focused on innovation and industry leadership.
The new online master of professional studies in technology management program will educate future executive-level technology professionals through courses on information security, financial analysis, business management, business intelligence. enterprise modernization and ethics.
Georgetown will begin offering an online version of its master of professional studies in technology management beginning in January 2015.
The online format, offered by the School of Continuing Studies (SCS), takes the degree to the next level of availability for individuals focused on business innovation and leadership in the industry.
“Technology Management Online will give enterprising individuals across the country access to IT faculty and resources that will help them build their expertise and gain the world-class education needed to become the next generation of tech leaders,” said Beverly Magda, SCS associate dean.
Global Audience
The new program will feature expert faculty, comprising some of the country’s leading experts in the field, and is designed to educate future executive-level technology professionals through courses on information security, financial analysis, business management, business intelligence and enterprise modernization.
The new degree program is also offering one of the few technology management ethics courses in the country.
“This program brings five-plus years of development in technology education to a global audience,” Magda says. “Courses that have helped on-campus students gain the knowledge they need to rise through the ranks of their companies will now be accessible to those outside the greater metropolitan D.C. area.”
Taking Applications
Georgetown is partnering for the creation of the online program with Deltak, which is helping SCS build on the current success of the on-campus program and expand it to new markets.
“Online options are just one direction in which SCS programs will expand to meet our students where they are in their professional lives,” says SCS Dean Kelly Otter. “As we strive to innovate in how we deliver a Georgetown education, all programs will remain rooted in and guided by Georgetown’s tradition of academic excellence.”
