Dear Members of the Georgetown University Community,
We are reaching out to inform you of an upcoming hazardous material (Hazmat) drill in Regents Hall. This drill will allow us and our District partners to test our response to this type of incident.
The drill will take place on Saturday, August 10 from 8-11 a.m. on the first floor of Regents Hall. During this three-hour drill, the first floor of Regents Hall will be inaccessible to community members. Community members who need to access the upper floors of Regents during this time can do so via the Leavey Center entrance or the East entrance off of Tondorf Rd.
There will not be any actual chemical agents or hazardous materials released during the drill. You may see items used in the simulation, including emergency vehicles, people in hazmat suits, and staging areas for response personnel at the south entrance of Regents Hall.
