King Felipe VI (G’95) andQueen Letizia of Spain stopped by Georgetown yesterday during their four-day U.S. visit to open the Joint Meeting of Spanish Scientists in the United States.
Nearly 60 students from Spain now call Georgetown home, and the king and queen were greeted by many of them, as well as other students waiting outside to catch sight of the monarchs.
The royal couple visited President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House a day before the Spanish monarch made a return to his alma mater. The two plan to end their visit in Florida.
