Title: “Nothing Can Take Away Your Experience of Being a Hoya”

I just wanted to wish the class of 2020 all the best. I celebrate my 35th reunion from the GU School of Nursing next year. The older I get, the more thankful I am for the GU community. I just delivered my 2600th baby as a Certified Nurse-Midwife and feel very blessed that GU gave me the foundation to do what I do. Georgetown alumni do AMAZING work in the world and are genuinely good people. I am so thankful for my Georgetown education.

I know these are unprecedented times and your graduation will not be a normal traditional ceremony but nothing can take away your experience of being a Hoya and the education that has helped shape you into the young adult that you are today. Georgetown’s many traditions will live on and I hope you will give back, come back at least every 5 years for your reunions (they are SO fun), and attend a John Carroll Weekend if you get a chance! Congratulations! Do good work and be kind people! Hoya Saxa!
