Archbishop Christophe Pierre, Papal Nuncio to the United States, joins a panel discussion on Pope Francis’ message to leaders of the United States and members of the Catholic Church as part of the Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life’s Francis Factor series.
– The Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life welcomed the Georgetown and greater Washington, D.C. Catholic communities for a March 27 panel discussion on Pope Francis’ message to leaders of the United States and members of the Catholic Church.
Georgetown President John DeGioia delivered remarks during the “Francis Factor After Four Years” event. He tied the work of Pope Francis to the university’s mission, noting that “as the oldest Catholic and Jesuit university in the United States, we have an extraordinary resource: a faith, enlivened through the Ignatian tradition, that sustains us and consoles us, inspires us and challenges us.”
