I am excited to invite you to the Georgetown Staff Appreciation Picnic as we begin the 2022-2023 academic year.
You and your teams play an essential role in sustaining and advancing our university mission and values, and we hope you enjoy this gathering as a part of our gratitude for your many contributions to our community. Feel free to join us at any point during the picnic.

Leavey Center Esplanade, Main & Medical Campuses
Picnic Events and Give-aways
- Food, drinks and ice cream and popsicles
- Student group performance, massage stations, photo booth, music, outdoor lawn games, and more
- Giveaways from on-site vendors and a raffle of prizes including Georgetown Swag, Visa Gift cards, a night at the St. Regis in D.C., and two round trip domestic flight tickets!
Picnic Transportation and Logistics
The 2022 picnic will be hosted outdoors on the Leavey Center Esplanade on the Main & Medical Campuses.
Parking at the Southwest Quad Garage will be free for university staff during the picnic, but please note that parking availability is limited.
For employees located at the Georgetown Law Center and School of Continuing Studies, we will offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the Main Campus bus turnaround beginning at 10:30am and running every 15 minutes. The Law Center pick up will be located at the Law Center Bus stop and the SCS pick up will be located directly in front of campus at 640 Massachusetts Avenue, NW.
Staff Appreciation Mass
The 12:10 p.m. Mass at Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart (approximately 30 minutes) will be offered in gratitude for the staff of Georgetown University. Community members of all faiths are welcome to attend.
