5. Send Valentines with GIVES

Haven’t worked up the nerve yet to talk to your crush? Or hoping to make a friend’s day more special? Each year, GU GIVES offers students the opportunity to make and send valentines to students across campus, which GIVES members then hand-deliver. Stay updated via their Facebook page for more details to come!

4. Pizzeria Paradiso 🍕💕🍕

Whether celebrating with a group of friends or going out with that special someone, nothing says love like a warm, cheesy slice of pizza. Just a few blocks from campus, Pizzeria Paradiso offers a variety of delicious options, so you can find something to please almost any pizza-lover. My personal approach is to go with a group, so you can order multiple pizzas and sample each one!

3. Monuments at Night (or Day)

We’re living in the heart of the nation’s capital, so why not make use of it? A long walk (or quick Uber ride!) to the monuments is a great way to spend any night, no matter who you are with. At the very least, you are guaranteed to get some Instagram-worthy pics.

2. 1789

If you are really looking to impress that special someone, why not treat them to a night out at 1789? While I personally have never been, I have listened to countless friends rave about it–so this is definitely something on my list. Not looking to totally break your budget? The desserts look delicious, and totally affordable as well!

1. Tombs!!!

If all else fails, head to the Tombs! You are almost guaranteed to run into someone you know there, and the warm, delicious comfort food is enough to make anyone’s day more special. Grab some of their tasty Sunday brunch, or head over later in the day for live music night! No matter when you go, or who you’re with, you can’t go wrong with the Tombs.
